"Nanny Cam: Xenophobia in the Motherland" was filmed entirely by Cindy Nashwa, the nanny/domestic worker of director Roger Horn and documents the feelings of those living in the townships of South Africa days after the start of the May 2008 xenophobic attacks that left 62 dead and displaced over 100,000. Cindy manages to keep a smile on her face at work although she is unhappy due to her separation from her youngest child that had to be sent by bus to live with her mother across country out of fear for her safety.
