  • CHRIST who the hell wouldn't pay money to go to see a sally mann exhibit!!

  • its humbling to see that after all the chasing i've gone after of technical excellence in my own photography, here is someone who is using decades old technology to create images that are technically flawed, but artistically beautiful. I can only hope that one day, I am able to truly be able to see the world through a lens, rather than just record it.

  • I would like to be a famous artist living on a farm and doing my art.

  • I studied Sally Mann for a little while without even knowing who she was.

I found her name mentioned in a book of technique and out of all the modern work featured in it hers was the best. After that I couldn't put her work down for a few years. Every time I looked I got more ideas, I'm still amazed every time I see her work.

    Legend? yes she is!

Inspiration? She inspires more than she can ever know.

Thanks for sharing this film with me tonight.

  • That "Fuck" was probably the best use of that word.

  • Sally Mann, old news? Wow. Not a chance. Sally Mann is a LEGEND.

  • Why does she almost always have a plaster on her right fore arm?
