The Salton Sea, California's largest lake; What can be done to clean up this beautiful but salt and mineral polluted lake? To start with, why not dredge the shores to remove the millions of dead fish and shells, thus removing salt and calcium along with other mineral deposits and waste. Once the salinity is reduced, dump several thousand gallons of Pacific Ocean sea water (which is still alive) into the sea. Let the ocean plankton take over the task of purification and development of real ocean life. Let us turn our almost dead sea into a living thriving ocean like environment again.
