he's talking about Henri Bergson's intuition

the early 20th C. avant-garde used intuition to access the "real" world: the 4th dimension where past, present future are combined into an eternal present: presentism

we all access is unconsciously, and it is inside our minds not structured (concrete) but unstructured like it appears in reality (abstract). lynch subjectively transfers his own artistic feelings into the art and delivers it to the audience
