this is just the basic tools I use when drawing line art which I intend to transfer to photoshop, and why I use Manga Studio instead of Photoshop.

If y'all wanna hear about actually drawing comics in Manga studio, please just drop me a line

  • @VTacoKitty Thanks :D And yes, under the little menu subset I used to thicken lines there's a tool called "Join lines" which can join the lines together! However, that means you have to catch all the holes before exporting. which doesn't always happen. Sometimes I end up fixing lines in photoshop (which you can see in my 002 painting tutorial)

And yes! I use a tablet! I haven't really used a mouse to draw in a while, but I can say it does help me immensely when I am drawing digitally.

  • Ug thank you for posting this! I've been looking everywhere for a video that shows the different tools of Line Art for photoshopping in. This video really helped-beautiful drawing by the way! Quick question- does the program kinda fix some of the broke lines automatically by smoothing them (I've seen that in some of the speed paintings I've watched) and do you use a tablet to help steady your lines? Really good tutorial-finally one that helped me :)
