Columbia Ballet Collaborative was started by a group of ballet dancers who wanted to run and dance in their own company - a common path for modern dancers, but not ballerinas.

  • poor technique, dancers overweight ... this is not a quality project but it is a nice effort

  • As a dancer who has gone from college to a professional career and back to school for a master's degree, I TRULY respect every single one of these dancers and their efforts. Some really beautiful contemporary work there as well. I hope to see more ballet companies like this one emerge soon.

  • @DCCBSJ Did you know that professional or trainee (right before professional) dancers who do not wear toe pads and dance for hours on pointe sometimes chew gum because it helps to keep their minds from dwelling onlly on their feet? I don't know why she is, but I agree, that if there isn't a reason that it is indeed rude.
