@marxychick1 Here's what I know about this. Most, if not all, local stations in the United States use previous "Jeopardy!" themes during their promos for the show. The reason for that is, obviously enough, to keep the budget to a minimum.

Why is it doing the 1997-2001 theme?

It's a local commercial... I doubt the local NBC people care which theme it is... it was probably the most readily available clip they had.
