Thanks for the original track! I read an article years ago with Lonette and she said she was disappointed with Curtis Mayfield releasing the soundtrack with Aretha Franklin singing all the songs as it could have given them more exposure. It probably was a good business move for Curtis and Aretha did a find job but how wonderful to have these songs as they were sung in the film!

You are 100% correct. More people were familiar with Dawn Smith. Irene Cara was known from the Electric Company.

That is Dawn Smith. Dawn was an in demand actor in television and films in the mid and late 1970's; she was more populator than Lonette and very close to Irene. Irene is still singing with her band and recently appeared on The Wendy Williams Show and Lonette is still acting and singing and has a website. Dawn Smith I am not sure if she is still acting I would love to know, she was also featured in many commericals.
