I'm a bit confused by this video too. Makes no sense. Not really sure what the speed thing was about though most of those trucks seemed to be driving pretty safely to me all were in control of their vehicles even though they were going slightly over the speed limit. The last guy who was tailgating the hell out of that landcruiser appears to have been in control, though then the landcruiser has braked significantly realising overspeed. Poor truckie has nowhere to go! cant swerve to other lane!

@homoboi000 As far as I understand the issue is that the speed limit is the speed limit. As far as I know the driver feeling that he is in control is not an excuse to be able to exceed the limit.

Maybe this is the cause of confusion. Do some truck drivers feel that its OK to exceed the limit or to tailgate as long as they think they are in control?

I'm not 100% sure what the explicit message this video is trying to promote? tgliding: In saying that cars and trucks don't mix are you implying that there should be separate roads for each? Or that trucks should continue using the Newell or New England?

Anyone that suggests that rail would be a viable option for goods and logistic distribution in Australia is profoundly mistaken... Ultimately, motorists need to be made better aware of how to share the road with trucks.

a) The Goverment needs to hurry up and upgrade the highway to a 2 lane carriageway

b) The New England Highway should have remained as the truck route until the Pacific Highway could be made safe

c) Car drivers should learn more about truck drivers challenges

d) Many Truck drivers ( Not all) are highly impatient and take unneccesary risks

e) Succesive Governments have failed to provide rail infrastructure. Shame on them.

my father is a truckie of almost 30 years and i would have to say 80% of all truck accos are caused by tired car drivers. he had a mate years ago that got hit by a car whilset drivin the truck and had a frying pan go stright in his mouth. truck drivers are under so much stress to make a deadline its bullshit simple as that yes there are some dicks driving trucks but thats only about 90% my father has never had an acco in a truck and touch wood he never will

the only truck doing the wrong thing that i would agree with is the hitrans truck shouldnt have been that far up that cars arse. but i dont get why its trucks behaving badly. the video should of said 1 or 2 of about 100 trucks behaving badly created by some turd who probably bought a house next to one of australias busiest highway

ive been stuck behind a car for an hour doing 80kph and i lost 20km for that hour. not only does it take you longer to get home it looses me as a company driver $9.20 for that hour

Im a truck Driver myself and am bloody sick of us guys always getting the blame , when everyday we get idiot car drivers cut us off, fail to indicate, drive slower then the speed limit,brake at the last moment, how do u think most of everything around you was delivered, OH thats right BY A TRUCKIE, who has sat for many hours behind the wheel,away from his home and family, so before u start passing judgement at the truckie, maybe go for a ride in a rig before criticising them !!!!

this must off been put up by a car driver or someone who has never been in or operated a heavy vehicle, truth be told the car drivers whom are either oblivious or plain stupid put themselves in danger by there own actions leaving the truck driver inbetween a rock and hard place or trying to think for them instead of being able to give full attention to what they are doing. As for trucks passing each other, each truck is different in many cases including weight or horsepower
