@MrMufn8r Seriously, if you want to be safe in a crash, don't ride a bloody bike. It's not like you wouldn't still be squished to death if you hit a car instead.

I'd like to see where the car ended up. It was like there was no barrier at all.

You just ruined a ghetto mobile!

These aren't meant to save drivers. They're meant to slice motorcyclists into itty bitty pieces. F'n SoBs!

It doesn't matter how you run the test. We have not standardized bumper height, so what happens to all the lowered sports cars that bumper is way lower then the cables? What happens to the 4 x 4 trucks that bumper is way higher then the cables. If people would actually pay attention to driving such things wouldn't be needed. If you where driving and crossed over the median anywhere anytime, they should take your driving privileged for life.

A great way to get decapitated..!

since your in on coming traffic who needs mirrors anyways?
-
What you all do not realize is that this is a test video under controlled situations to determine where NOT to install the cable system. The combination of vehicle speed and sideslopes in the median had to be experimented with in order to find the "ideal" location.
If a car does get through the cable and hit someone....it was going to happen regardless of if the cable was installed or not. You can't design for all drivers, cars and situations, just have to catch "most" cars...which is still

@Transam941 one less source of danger

@chromiumtrioxide yes you are right on point the metal/alloy stakes/poles/posts that hold the cables cut motorcyclists in half or do serious damage as riders fall on the ground and slide into the stakes/poles/posts cutting them in half or fcuking them up . there is a video showing this on the internet of a motorcyclist falling off his bike and being dismembered
at least the mirror was stopped.

That morror could have been very dangerous to those on the other side - so yes - it was a good thing to stop.
