With the Hurricanes down by a goal late in the third period and applying continuous pressure in the offensive zone, Aaron Ward saves the day and stops the 'Canes from getting a point that could have ended up hurting them in the Taylor Hall Sweepstakes. He is a true hero and should play thirty minutes a night on the first pairing.

Yeah I hope Skinner gets the Calder, he deserves it. Couture, who a lot of NHL analysts think will win it, isn't really a true rookie in my eyes, plus the Sharks haven't relied as heavily on him as the Canes have on Skinner. On Hall, yes I think he'll put up some big numbers once he returns from injury. Edmonton does have some young talent and I don't expect them to be at the bottom of the league again in the years to come.

  • @jwatanabe90 Oh I'm not denying that. Skinner is a little wrecking ball out there, great speed + soft hands. He's been the rooking of the year so far. Taylor Hall was in that mix before he got injured. I think Taylor is going to explode once that Edmonton franchise gets some half decent talent. (Hemsky is good but he's always injured.) I live in Windsor so I'm bias, Taylor is the main reason we won our championships. He has the ability to take over games like nobody I've seen before.

Ehhh I dunno, time will tell; I CAN say that it's very possible that Hall will develop like Stamkos; low production early but work his way into stardom over the next couple of years. Skinner really has been one of the best (and consistent) players coming right out of the draft (what the Canes were looking for in the draft) and is one of the few reasons the Canes are even in the running for a playoff spot this year. He's only 18 and all signs suggest will continue to improve greatly.

  • @jwatanabe90 This is one of those comments that will come back to haunt you.

  • the annotations on this video are fucking hilarious XD

  • Haha this is hilarious. Aaron Ward actually was quite good during the Stanley Cup year, but went downhill from there. Plus, we got Skinner, who's better than Hall anyway.

  • I don't laugh often in front of my pc, well I don't recall the last time, but I was LMAO all the way.

    Sick video 5 stars.

  • I see that the Canes have a Jacques Martin-style of system.

  • I chuckled.
