Why don't you use the jet boots? Also the robots don't infenanly spawn, if you kill enough they will stop spawning, I know because I've tryed it myself.

I have like 5 full health circles than you...and your still like 2 planets in front of me...

I use the un "evolved" lava gun and go in circles lol. its quiet handy.
