SAURER BBC / Winterthur / The first trolleybus to Wülflingen

On 28 December 1938 the first trolley bus was driving from the city of Winterthur to Wülflingen. The first series consisted of only three vehicles, the fourth car number 14, was first presented at the National Exhibition in Zurich in 1939. Initially, people were skeptical to the new transport, which is not continued long. The softer suspension and also the higher cruise speed, no more tram squealing. It was not long before the Seemer also wanted the trolleybus. They were then on 24 July 1941.
In this film, only the vehicles 11 - 13 are seen. This footage was filmed by the BBC, the cutting and scoring vehicle I've created.

Du bist aber schon früh wach, keine Ahnung muss erst in Google Map nachschauen. Die Stelle der einmündung erkenne ich noch heute, der Bus fahrt ja auf der Wülflingerstrasse. Aber vermutlich weisst Du das selber. Ich melde mich noch. Gruss René

Interessante Aufnahmen. Das Wenden am Berg - heute bei der Verkehrsdichte unvorstellbar.

@busfilmer : Hmm.. ich bin mir mittlerweile selber nicht mehr so sicher. Dass der Bus auf der Wülflingerstrasse fährt, erkenne ich natürlich. MIch interessiert einfach, wo er bei 3:30-3:38 durchfährt. In der anschliessenden Szene fährt er ja von der Stadt her kommend am Hinterwiesli vorbei, d.h. wenn diese Szene an die vorhergehende anschliesst, müsste er bei 3:30-3:38 irgendwo zwischen Tellstrasse und Hinterwiesli sein. Dann könnte es sich bei 3:34 auch nicht um die Schlosserstrasse handeln
