I had something very similar to this back around 1990 or so but it was square and had a built-in (and very good sounding) AM radio. I later discovered that there was a rectangular version almost exactly like yours that lacked the radio.

EP stood for extended play.
You can change how long a single plays for by shrinking the grooves.
Hey Jude, for example, runs for 7 minutes; while Revolution (which is on the flip side) runs for 3
