a crazy person who wants to cause chaos will do something else if a gun is unavailable, a motor vehicle can cause alot of death and destruction, cans of gasoline, readily available chemicals at home depot can be made into pipe bombs, propane tanks, gosh this list of mine could go on forever

Gun control doesn't stop mass shootings, well armed law-abiding citizens do.

This is more "feel-good" legislation.  We don't need to change the gun purchasing process, we need to crack down on the courts and medical authorities to ensure they properly flag these people if they are in fact mentally ill. Abridging everyone's rights to protect against this few crowd of people is not sensible. It's the people, not the guns that are the problem. Guns are machined pieces of steel that have no emotions, feeling, motives, anger, or intent. People have these things.
