I am an immigrant to Canada, and I know there is SO MUCH potential in the brave men and women of this country's Armed Forces that is regrettably grossly underappreciated by our political masters. Our military sorely lack state-of-the-art equipment, and the little that we do have are downright dangerous (I remember the fire aboard the HMCS Chicoutimi, formerly HMS Upholder, killing Lt. Chris Saunders, husband and father of two.)
I salute you Vice Adm. Brodeur. R.I.P. Lt. Saunders.

The real threat to Canada are the clowns in Parliament who want to dump Harper. Admiral Brodeur is an honorable man who states the situation as it is. It's deplorable what the coalition is attempting.
Great speech that Canadians should listen to.
