@megadeth628 That wasn't the secenario though. The gun failed when the attacker was at close range and coming in, and after you disabled him, and he said "maybe" you have enough to get back and clear your gun.

@josephsystempro You didn't pay close attention. Zwiers stopped the machete at a point close to the base. The power generated from machetes come from farther out on the blade, more towards the tip. Even if the scope would break, there would not be nearly enough power to do any sort of damage after it passes through, not to mention the rifle is far out andabove his head, further enhancing the technique. Anyone can attack with the left hand with enough time, the point is to beat them to the punch.

Further explaining my last comment. When the guy with the rifle went for the muzzle jab the attacker should have used his left hand to redirect the barrel while simultaneously stepping to the left and slashing the rifleman's mid section with the blade. He could then either follow through and come down with another chop or (more preferred) followed with a thrust to the mid section.

This technique is easily defeated. The attacker in the video apparently forgot he has a left hand...

how can you guys say that this doesnt work if you have never needed to use it? and if you did and it didnt work why would you spend time pointing fingers when you could easily figur out what didnt happen right plus why would someone carry a katana,kukri or hand made quality blades ust to rob you?
