People reacted as if they were gut shot when I told them I was leaving California for New Mexico. Today, the southern Rockies run north to south past my home. It is the marrow of the world and I have never looked back after moving here.

one of my favorite movies of all time. The reason Del rides away shouting is because only a crazy person would want the Natives to know he was there and the Indians as a rule, did not mess with crazy people. It was a defense strategy that paid off several times.

He's done fight'n wants to make peace an go on with his life an rebuild again maybe ~ was not quite over the civil war an started to find himself didn't mean to violate the Crows sacred barrial grounds an wouldn't of except for civilization pushing into the Mtns.. He was lucky as he found peace within an survived an found serinity with nature an servived ~~~

This is a supreme classic! I went out west because of this movie. My mistake was coming back for family....but this time im a mountain man for good!!!
