In this video I review a video done by Brainouty, the self-proclaimed Greek expert on Youtube. In the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OWX0e9FulR0&NR=1
Entitled 3n LXX, The Great YHWH, John 8:58 and Ex.3:14, she makes two errors in translating the phrase 'before Abraham was, I AM'
She translated the verb as a passive, not an active when it is active in meaning, even though middle/passive in form. (Deponent).
She translated the Infinitive as a purpose, when it is temporal'
And then she judges the other translations by her incorrect one.
You can find all of this beginning at 6:00 of her video.

@edwardpf123 - Brainouty simply does NOT know Greek.
She's a pretender, and it's frustrating watching her improvise.

Amen, Brother Ed!
The "zeitgeistlich" philosophy of secular humanism and Romanism saturates the Satanic movement toward the apostate contempo mistranslations of Scripture called the “moden versions.” In fact, the Lord Jesus Christ, Who read from a scroll of Isaiah in the synagogue, said, "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me" (John 5:39).
If one cannot believe the Holy Bible, then logically he will not believe the Son of God.

Edward, I think the context of the discussion between Christ and his audience, makes it clear enough. No need to go into the greek i.e. Brainouty's greek that is!
His audience had the historical figure of Abraham in mind. To introduce her idea of "before Abraham was thought of, or, considered" is plainly removed from the context of the text.

@sunskywindshane -totally correct-there is never a need for the Greek, the English explains it. People run to the Greek to show that they know something that they think no one else does.
