The voiceover dude at the start of this video... sounds remarkably like the guy who does the Safety videos on Qantas flights on some of their older fleet... mmmm

Interesting - And I assume he gets some stuff from there!!

Or give your set a good thump and it will be better.

Melbourne had Channel 0 up until 1980 when it changed frequencies to 10. The reason was that TV sets in Gippsland could already pick up Channel 10 on regional station GLV-10, so ATV Melbourne was allocated '0'.

Well this is new to me. I thought it was only Brisbane who'd had Channel 0 (which finally went to 10 about twenty years ago I think). I love the background noises during the voice over at the beginning, complete with typewriters rattling. Couldn't they afford a studio separated from the typing pool? :)

If you do not get a clear picture, climb up the roof and adjust the aerial or walk around the room with those old types, fiddle it and hold it up in the air. DONT MOVE. Ah, the good old days.
do you have any footage of "Deadly Earnest" host of late night horror films on Channel 0 in the late 60s early 70s?

No, nor do I know anyone who has this material. Most of this material was discarded by TV stations back in the 1970s.

From another Melbourne-based collector. He is in the habit of checking the ATV10 waste bins for old discarded ATV0 video material.
