  • Sad to see the new Snapon is made in Asia... where' s the IR made?

  • @CE750 The W7150 was engineered in our Tool Development Center in New Jersey and is manufactured in Ingersoll Rand’s own facility near Shanghai, China utilizing parts from around the globe. Our quality and performance standards are identical in all our operations around the globe so you can be assured you'll get what you've come to expect from IR.

  • But the Snap On 7855 has already come out & it's rated higher than the old 6850! IR is a little late here. Admittedly, the W7150 kit can be gotten for 5 bills, while the CT7850 kit is 630 big ones. I'm not saying the W7150 can or can't beat the Snap On 7850 but let's see a video of that match up!

  • @filthyphillyboy We just talked to a tech that has the new 7855 and we let him try the W7150, his comment was "wow, i bought the wrong tool, wish I'd have waited" You're right, the 7855 is rated for 450 ft-lb compared to the old 400 ft-lb, but the W7150 is in another league with 780 ft-lb, the same as our class leading 2135 air tool. We're working on a head-to-head video, stay tuned!

  • Most of the people who are bashing products that are made overseas have little or no business experience. Just ask anyone who owns or runs a business and they will tell you that saving money is making money. In the end it's all about the profit margin and maintaining it. If these companies decide to cave under consumer pressure and make all their products here then you will see either high pricing or less quality to offest all of the costs. Then you guys will still complain about.

  • just buy the 1/2" mg725 from snap-on and dont worry about having to test it against things.

  • @irtoolscom. All Snap-on 3/8 and 1/2 cordless impact guns are made in Murphy North Carolina in the Snap-on factory!

  • @BCrawford64 I do believe you're correct. I called SO and the lady told me that it was China... but the website says different. I wonder if she wasn't looking at the 3/8 drive one when she answered me?

  • He won by a like a second. I dont se how anything is getting crushed. Crushed would be like half the time.

  • @CE750 In the snapon online catalog, I looked at at the 1/2 inch cordless impact. under country of origin it says usa. Therefore it is made in america. Not asia.

  • It's about torque and gearing. All that test shows is the IR runs faster, not a subjective test of power. The Snap-On gun may be geared to run slower.

Lets see them on a torque test to show any conclusive result.

Even then, my preference would be the one NOT made in China !! Once I discover that Snap-On or any of the other premium US brands are making their core products in China, I will stop buying them.

  • Speed does not equal power!Just like voltage does not equal current or watts. what if that I/R gun is at its peak w/that spring and the Snap-on can compress one rated at twice the load, then who would be the winner.Just sayin' You should always form ya own opinion,Snap-on tools rarely let me down. Lets see their 3/8"ratchets go head to head,I had to scrap a brand new I/R,couldn't turn for S%@T I will say I/R's Die Grinders work well LMAO

  • every brand says their tools are the best. who should we believe?
