Some may think that considering the bass lines he recorded between 1979 and 1981 he has every right to be extremely proud of himself.

Simple Minds as beautiful art form died when Derek and Brian left.

I just loved playing this when I was about 17 and always loved Dereks Bass playing.

Funny thing is I can't play many others, 'Someone somewhere' gets me every time as you have to be so precise.

I agree, this can not be Derek Forbes playing. Even if it's well played it is not correct and not that tight (compared to DF that is). Derek Forbes has his own channel: Hafferson.
