AK-47 pistol - one handed (AMD-65)

This is a Hungarian (AMD-65) kit 'AK-47' pistol that I assembled after making the lower receiver from a stamped flat. Seemed to work ok. Kit is technically a pistol since it has no butt stock and no forward grip. Barrel is 4+ inches shorter than standard AK variants for this caliber (7.62x39).

@73Corbin its not illegal, but i would recommend only doing it under supervision of a gunsmith with proper experience, as I did.

@iVoodooProductions the reason that sick people target schools for shootings is that it is a known free fire zone, that is a place filled with unarmed targets. the obvious and effective solution to this growing problem is not the one being pursued, however, consistent with most political solutions for legitimate problems. for every school, or similar shooting event, one armed and motivated sheep dog, closing and engaging aggressively with lethal force, is all it would take to end the encounter

@iVoodooProductions if the prospective school shooters of the world knew that they would likely encounter an armed and motivated opposition, they would select a different target. i practice to be in a position to stop this type of scenario, not to encourage or participate in it. for the ignorant, the appearance of any gun seems threatening. the best thing to combat ignorance is truth. once people learn the truth they are enabled to make better decisions.

@machinegunmana Very true. It's unfortunate how politicians want to impose even more strict gun control laws after a shooting tragedy happens, when the opposite can effectively resolve the problem. With firearms in the hands of responsible law abiding citizens, that by itself is a deterrent to crime. I don't think a gunman would want to rob a bank if he knew that some of the civilians and employees were armed inside.
