Exploration for natural gas causes consternation in Quebec.

In most places west of Manitoba, the arrival of yet another oil or gas drilling rig is a cause for little notice or concern. In Quebec, a half dozen gas wells and the potential of hundreds more may be about to set off a new kind of identity crisis. Samson Oil & Gas Limited has been advised by the Buyer of its Denver-Julesburg Basin acreage interests in Goshen County, Wyoming, that the Buyer has completed its due diligence on the contracted properties. Iraq on Sunday slammed as "illegal" an agreement between its autonomous Kurdistan region and the German energy firm RWE that is expected to help supply the planned Nabucco gas pipeline to Europe.
