thats an interesting video i like the song too and there were some good pictures but the only thing i dont understand is that it says the girls usually feel worse than boys, and if thats true than why do males have a much higher suicide rate than girls in every age bracket? i mean 4 times as many males kill themselves than females, so i dont think that shows that boys feel so good about themselves either

The difference is that males are much more likely to use an instantly fatal method of suicide, such as gunshot wounds to the head or car accidents, whereas girls are more likely to have unsuccessful attempts. I agree that many of today's boys are troubled, but this is part of a presentation I do for educators about the issues surrounding teenage girls - not to say that the boys don't have important issues, too, but it's just not the focal point of my research.
