The tricky part is striping just one side of the insulation on both ends of the wire loop perpendicular to the plane of the loop to serve in place of the commutator.

Materials:
~1m small gauge insulated wire
2 paper clips
"some" tape
"several" small magnets
1 Cell (battery)
connecting wires

  • budnodud, you may want to check out my other channel "dcolarusso." I posted this clip using an account dedicated to "boring" clips (see the channel description). Actually I'm starting a regular podcast explaining the HowTo behind things. Next week's episode is actually slated to be explain how to build this motor. Enjoy.

  • to whom it may concern, i have watched all of your videos and enjoyed them all. but there is one thing though. you dont explain how you do it. so far i've known how to do the things you have been doing but in future videos can you explain yourself on how its done, materials, cost, etc... p.s. try water with potassium iodide
