It absolute is. I wouldn't call them "tricks" though. It's actually part of a servers job to upsell. Employers make sure you are upselling to increase their profit as a company. It's just business. Besides, upselling in beneficial to the guest. I find some guest don't know about all the special drinks or add ons the restaurant has to offer. Upselling is a good way to suggest items that would enhance the guest experience.

Did you know that Ron Paul was pushing for a bill for servers to keep all their tips and not pay taxes on them? Seriously! Do some reasearch.



being a server isnt about finding tricks to make money, you will get good tips by giving good service by getting what people want instead of tricking them
