How to record vocal covers with Windows Movie Maker

This video shows you how to record decent quality vocal covers for your favourite songs using nothing more than Windows Movie Maker and a mic. I did this in response to HanonHoshoAquaPearl's How to do a Mermaid Melody fandub video. Her quite in-depth video covered just about every step you would need to know except one, which was how to add music to the background. I decided to make this vid to clear things up on how to put music to your voice in WMM.

I Did it but my voice is not balanced with the instrumental what can i do ?!? even audacity is like that .. first i thought its me singing late or somthing but i recorded from speakers and it was fine HELP ME ?

I have the same problem. The problem is the soundcard. Some people have a rather slow soundcard that causes a delay in the recording anywhere from 25 milliseconds to 200 milliseconds. What you can do is after recording your voice, edit the audio by sliding it around the timeline in Windows Movie Maker until it is synced properly.

@screamobeast You would take your camera and record you doing the whole cover. Then you would take that .mov file and convert it so you can import it into windows movie maker. Then you can edit the video to match the audio. Publish it then you're done.

may i noe wad devices do people use to record their covers on song?i tried to use my laptop webcam but the sound that comes out really sucks...my voice sounds like a kid...i don't have a mic so any recommendations?
