BIG BRUNCH BAND
The Big Brunch Band came to life in 2005 playing big band swing and has grown and developed over recent years to include a range of other styles including latin jazz, rhythm and blues, soul and reggae, to name but a few. The band was formed for and played its first gig at the Ashton Keynes Music Festival, Wiltshire. It has grown from strength to strength and now has around 20 members. Still based in Ashton Keynes the band can be seen regularly performing in public and performances during the last year have included the Cheltenham, Marlborough and Stroud jazz festivals, Cirencester's Advent Market and Tetbury's Christmas Lights event. Expect to hear your old favourites such as the "In the Mood" and "A Night In Tunisia" a selection of soul/funk classics such as "Soul Man" and "I Heard it Through the Grapevine" and also some old favourites such as "Rock Around the Clock". And if you like Jools Holland you'll recognize rhythm and blues classics "Honey Hush" and "The Hand That Changed its Mind". We are a community band dedicated to promoting music making amongst people of all ages and abilities and our membership includes teenagers as well as a number of adult "beginners", who are sportingly encouraged and supported by more experienced musicians. If you're interested then come along to our practices on Tuesday nights 7.30pm-9.00pm in Ashton Keynes - phone 01285 861067 in advance. For more details, see the website at www.bigbrunchband.co.uk
Thanks for your comment. Will pass it on.
