Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg

This is a cool hotel towering over Gatlinburg. Every single room has a view. You can get the city side or the mountain side. I like the city side better. The inside of the hotel is breathtaking the first time you walk in! Its convieniently located right on the city, a trolley comes by every half hour or sooner to take you there and back at any time until 11:30. The pool is heated and big! It stays open until 11:30. The week we were there in March 09' there were bus loads of youth groups staying there. They were very well behaved however, the pool was crowded all week, but the youth groups had to be in bed by 11:30 so one night the pool was kept open for other guests until 12:30. but, when we were told to get out we were drying off and were rudly rushed out quickley before we could even dry off! She had a very rude tone as we were rushed out. It wasn't a maid but a manager I think. When we arrived there, we could only get a mountain view room. The room had toe nail clippings in one pile from a person there before us. It was nasty! They didn't sweep well enough! We loved the mountain view but requested a city view and the next day a spot opened for the city view room and they allowed us to switch rooms which made us very happy! We were in a rush and they even told us that they'd move our luggage for us to our new room when it opened while we were on the town. At night when we arrived back to the hotel a women at the desk asked if there was a problem because guests reported ALL of our luggage still in our room when the new room people checked in! They never moved it for us like they SAID THEY WOULD! imagine if the wrong kind of person got our old room! They could've stolen everything! We were dissatisfied with that. But the city view is just great! Best view in Gatlinburg! This place has its ups and downs. The employees could be a little more polite (most are! The housekeeping women always say "have a nice day!") If you want a view go to this hotel. Its worth it. I give this place THREE STARS. I recommend this place! We've come here for three years in a row now. Ohh yeah! My sister only had one doller and bought a candy bar, it had a few cents of tax on it and she didn't have enough so the women at the counter offered to pay the tax for us! How nice!

For My parents anniversary we're staying at Park Vista Hotel and We're probably going to Dixie Stampede and MagiQuest  (If not WonderWorks) Last time I was there I shopped all over Gatlinburg, and I was worn out when we got back to the car, it was a pretty cool place...I live in Clinton .Tn. (:

@UndertakerMistress If you havent already, there is a breakfast place right down the road (on the SAME road i think) as Park Vista called the LOG CABIN PANCAKE HOUSE. It made of old logs from what once were log cabins and that place serves thee best pancakes and french toast i've ever tasted. If you like French Toast Try their FRENCH TOAST ROYALE. You wont be dissapointed. I've got a video of it somewhere on youtube. Look for it featured on the side >>

The dixie stampede is fun! Thats one of my favorite things to do there.

Need to update this vidio, Vista has been updated, Cool pool area with slides. Much better now. Little cahage in lobbey, But it was already cool, Bigger room now. You must try it, You will go back, Its a little exp. BUT ITS WORTH IT

This hotel looks nice. I like Embassy Suite-type hotels with atrium lobbies with glass elevators where all the floors face into the lobby. This one looks like 15 floors it's really high up. I want to go there someday. It would be a straight shot down I-81 for us from PA, we live in Allentown, PA east of Harrisburg. I also like hotels with nice pools and hot tubs, this hotel has a nice multi-level pool with a spacious room and atrium.
