  • Yeah, it also mentions that Veidt was inspired by Alexander the Great who like Ramses II conquered the known world by any means. That Ramses is believed to be the one who held Israelites captive when Moses arrived and Alexander was willing to sack cities and kill or enslave the inhabitants. Ozymandias' nature doesn't seem too far off from those men.

  • I think Ramses II, but I think that Nite Owl mentioned that in the chapter where he is hacking Veidt's computer (Chapter 9, 10, or 11).

  • They should put something like that in the movie (after all Ozymandias did sell out his secret identity to get rich).

  • The name is the Greek name for Ramses... I forget which one of them though :)

  • lol! :D

sorry about the double post... It's doing this "freeze" when I hit the comment button

  • I read the poem in highschool emphasis on the word READ not "was read" or "heard". But thank you anyway, apologies again for stating the pronunciation was wrong.

  • In case you might not know, the name from a poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley. That might help.

  • In case you might not know, the name is from Percy Bysshe Shelley's poem of the same name. That might or might not help.
