that's kind of an expression. it's basically saying you really want something. i could really use a vodka on the rocks right now.
i'm guessing you are talking about the song though
but i heard that we use also use could for action in future

This is true, but the difference is very subtle, because you are talking about the possibility of doing something, and not about the ability to do something.
