  • Thank you for posting this video. My great-uncle, Lt. Curtis Bellfy (bombardier), was one of the men who went down with My Day. I'll be sharing this with my family, including his niece (my mother) and nephew. We donated his dress uniform and other pieces of his personal items to the museum on the Isle of Wight. Again, thank you.

  • @BorealisBeach Many thanks for writing. The great credit for revealing the "My Day" story goes to my late friend Geoff Stanton. We miss him!

And, on re viewing this movie, I have discovered that the sound has slipped out of synch' Don't know how that's happened as it was quite ok when posted.

  • I'm related to Billy Fiske also. My name is Fisk without the e but am part of the family. I flew airplanes most of my life. It's great to learn about Billy and what he did.

  • @atpilot Be very proud of your lineage!

  • I just found out that Billy Fiske was my great grandad. When he flew over to england he married again to an english women, who is my Nana's mum (: He died before my Nana was born :/ They don't seem to mention this in a lot of articles about him.

  • Sensitively told by a fine artist and performer. I would love to meet this man.

  • @graemefield01 Many thanks for your comment.

  • Brilliantly narrated and very interesting. 5/5

  • Loved this film, John. Great narration. The sentiments shown here are exactly why I've embarked upon my mobile USAAF (soon to be followed by RAF) exhibition, which is dedicated to all allied airmen and women. Having veterans as friends certainly brings home the reality much better than any book or film. Many thanks for posting this.
