Its an awesome place to visit in the summer. I would be very careful in the winter because the waves have pulled many peoples off the rocks and to their death. We got married on the trail to Queens Bath.
@Headstrong761 they are necessary if you want to be well educated. Ofcourse the hawaiian language is easier, look at where they are in their financial state lol
@Headstrong761 they careless; they don't even try to pronounce the names. just make light of everything. i ignore them because they make me sick. their MO is greed. always hiding behind the law and the constitution which entitles them to do as they please. that's ok. come judgement day they will have a lot to explain to our maker.
@boywaimea english is the hardest language to learn with all these rules and unnecessary extra letters. Hawaiian is the EASIEST language to learn/speak with only 7 letters and the rest are short-pronounced vowels. It floors me when people can't pronounciate right, when it's that simple. Are they just trying to be lazy? Or not give a rip? If you dont have respect for simple words and names, how are you going to respect everything else? At least try, it's very easy, trust me, a caveman can do it
@Headstrong761 these people come to the islands and create names of places we know with there own names. i believe they are opportunists who have no respect for other cultures because they themselves don't have culture. they hide behind the land being for everyone and that Hawaii is a state. So they are entitled to do anything they want. Now I know why Americans are disliked by many countries. wish they would go back to where they came from and create names of sites there.
@boywaimea Ya really, im a Maui girl, my mom is Kekaha girl. It sickens me here when the convergence of name acceptence is said, without saying it right, or knowing the true name, even though it's spelt right in front your face. Paia is pronounce Paiia, KaHUlui is pronounce KaHAlui. And what about the name thrown out all together!?! No one says Kanaha beach park anymore, everyone calls it Kite beach, since when is it Kite beach? Kinda reminds me of the "end of the road", ahem, Haena?!?
