  • I must say, I feel a little bad for Johnny, he had no one to motivate him, at 1:18 Johnny was probably hoping for some encouragment from Kreese. All Kreese said to him was that he wanted him to injure Daniel's leg some more. Johnny isn't a "bad" kid. He was just getting the wrong idea about what karate is about from Kreese. Johnny was probably as passionate about karate as Daniel was.

  • @TheCrazyplaying exactly. at the end johnny even congratulates daniel. he was just a kid with a bad influence in his life. don't think the remake had this subtle depth.

  • I thought there was a no face contact rule, how did Daniel win with the crane kick to the face?

  • @TheCrazyplaying yeah, that always nagged at me too. small flaw.

  • What program did you use?

  • @mario77889 just Flash.

this is probably the best karate movie ever made

Johnny is just a kid under the bad influence of his teacher.

at his heart he is actually a good guy making the mistakes of a teenager.

  • @punkjoes Hey, Johnny punched Daniel in the face during the last fight, in case you didn't see!

  • @TheCrazyplaying Didn't Johnny kick Daniel in the face too at 1:55?

  • @TheCrazyplaying No, fuck Danny boy, plain and simple he asked for every beating he got. I'm sure you play hero all the time when you see two people arguing and your new in town and the guy happens to have all his boys behind him. Danny was a good kid at heart but asked for his beatings and messed with the bull and got the horns. Only reason it turned out the way it did was the fact its a movie and the good guy wins 99% of the time.

  • @PhatFarm60 Not so strange, when Daniel beat Johnny, Daniel earned Johnny's respect, along with the other bullies. The only reason Johnny was a dick is because Kreese was feeding his head with a bunch of bull shit, like the no mercy crap. But Johnny soon realized what a monster Kreese really was.

  • @BIGxBOSSxx1 I'll say it again, Daniel had no idea Alli was Johnny's ex girlfriend. I don't think Johnny was really angry with Daniel in the first place. Notice he confronted Alli at the beach, not Daniel. Johnny was just mad that Alli had moved on. It had nothing to do with Daniel, until Daniel tried to give Alli her radio.

  • @xxxTrunks Daniel had no idea Alli was Johnny's x girlfriend on the beach, he was not trying to butt in. I admit, trying to show off for Alli by confronting Johnny wasn't a good idea, but he did not ask to get his ass kicked every other day. Are you saying he asked to get pushed off a hill on his bike by Johnny's gang. No, he did not. Daniel was a good kid and did not deserve to get beat up.

  • @punkjoes I did not like the remake, I felt the remake was directed towards a younger audience. I mean it was like a kids movie. I kinda wished Johnny returned in the third movie, he could give Daniel some motivation, you know, as friends. Johnny and his friends saw was a racist asshole Kreese really was in the beggining of the 2nd movie. That's why they quit his classes. (as mentioned in the third movie)

  • @punkjoes I guess the ref was thinking "hey that kick was illegal, but it was sweet as fuck! I'll give him the point anyways!"
