  • They got a pretty crappy review from the telegraph.

And the dud - yes, dud (Tim Burrows) - also mentioned that Flowers's head was "skimmed" with a plastic beer bottle.

Did anybody in the audience notice this?

Bummer for him. lol. He got that for what he said at B'estFest. Haha...

I'm gonna get killed for this and will soon have to remove my comment, right?! lol.

  • I have no idea what youre going on about???? Is it Me???

  • at 1:08 , is that a cigarette?

  • I reckon they could be the new Queen.....am I being ironic.....? can you read my mind....

  • yeah i remember that bottle, it landed a few rows in front of me. Still got me a bit wet though :( An awesome gig though :)

  • Everyone was!

  • Thanks for filling me in, wode.

That is certainly a difference -

have a bottle thrown at your head or throwing one yourself at no one's head... Hm. The press...

  • Nothing flew onto the stage, a bottle from Brandon's hand flew off the stage and is now on ebay.

  • my favourite of all times, i was there and got so excited when he started singing it...

  • Depeche Mode-inspired pop might feel wrong to purists but they have a hold over their audience that is rare.

Theirs is a Springsteen-esque brand of rock evangelism. Disparate groups of people became one as the band powered through past hits such as Mr Brightside and All These Things That I've Done. They did not need to mention Jacko.

moron: THIS IS THE REVIEW. YOU CAN THINK IT'S GOOD. I DON'T.

  • The band brought with them a legacy of missed opportunities. In the past couple of years, they have given ill-fated performances at Reading and Glastonbury, during which amplification was an issue. You could sense in this performance a desire to put things right.

They are nothing if not professional. When a plastic beer bottle thrown by a lone chancer in the audience skimmed the head of Flowers, he did not even flinch. Their prettified brand of 1980s
