The face off. :) We recently took in a Tiffany Diamond on consignment (www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/7898) and in this video we compare it to one of our signature Hearts & Arrows diamonds (www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/7859). Note: While we have seen Tiffany diamonds before we would never make a blanket statement that *one* diamond represents them all. We have seen varying levels of optical symmetryin Tiffany diamonds ranging from Hearts & Arrows to non H&A like this one. Even so, the optics on this diamond do fall in the GIA Ex/AGS Ideal zenith and is a beautiful specimen that is being offered at a GREAT value but both diamonds are super gorgeous.

  • I'm curious. Why is the Tiffany not a Hearts & Arrows? I can see that it has arrows as well. And if it's not cut to as good proportions/ symmetry as the Ideal H&A, can you show the differences? Thanks.

  • @valleeny Why is the Tiffany not a Hearts & Arrows? Not sure how to answer your question as I do not work for them nor their QA. It just isn't. You can see the critical differences (H&A imagery, ASET, DiamXray, etc.) between the 2 diamonds via the urls provided description above.

  • Thanks for this! I was actually quite curious about this because i currently have a Tiffany Ring with a Tiffany Diamond and wanted to know the differences between these two especially because I do start questioning if my diamond is really that great or not comparative to the H&A when i've seen the other comparisons of round brilliants which you carry.

  • @Pri06 Hey no prob. Yes. Tiffany does have nice diamonds cut for them. Way back in the late 1800's when the "American Ideal Cut" was invented by Henry Morse Tiffany hired (or stole) some of Morse's cutters to cut for them and when Tolkowsky refined the numbers further had those cut as well. Glad you enjoy your diamond. YOU SHOULD! :)

  • Cost is the 5th C & I fail to see why anyone would trade with Tiffany they charge for their vile snob name prices higher than a cat's back they're Silver Users Association members, the shortside price cartel that bled dry the former US Strategic silver stockpile at theft prices, screwing miners and taxpayers and exposing America to weakened defense as silver is the top conductor of electricity, reflector of light and is high tech material. Pawn shops are much more respectable than Tiffany's.
