  • "The booklet wrier of Marc-Andre Hamelin's CD seems o be convinced that I used the first few notes of the bassoon solo that appears at the beginning of Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring" as a theme. This was a revelation to me. As far as I am concerned, both the "Rites of Spring" and this piece coincidentally happen to ue a phrase from the same Russian papyevka (the melodies of shich are often used in folk songs). "

  • All of his best stuff were writen in 1984

  • I can't stop listening to him and Shosty, and Stravinsky, and Scriabin... Geeeeeze~~~ What a scary but lovely addiction!
