Hey, it's no secret that I'm a huge sports fan as well as a fan of sports games, so here's a group of the eight most fun sports games I've played.

Music used:

Intro - Olympic Fanfare and Theme (John Williams)
Golf - The Masters Theme Song (Dave Loggins)
Baseball - Take Me Out to the Ball Game (sung at Dodger Stadium)
Ice Hockey - NHL on Fox Theme (artist unknown)
Tennis - Wimbledon Champions Theme (NBC Sports)
Basketball - NBA on NBC Theme (John Tesh)
American Football - Fly Eagles Fly (Philadelphia Eagles Fight Song)
World Football - 2002 FIFA World Cup Official Anthem (Vangelis)
Multi-Sport and Credits - Olympic Fanfare and Theme (John Williams)

All privately owned music is copyrighted by their respective owners.

DISCLAIMER: Sports games are NOT a substitute for actual physical activities. Go exercise, you lazy bums! =P

  • If you knew anything about football games you'd Nfl 2k5 if the greatest of all-time.

  • @louiedaboss992, played it. NFL 2K5 was great, but TSB set the standard.

  • Give us real sport games not cartoon characters scumbag

  • @Dilejaa, what's wrong with these games? They're well-designed, simple to learn, and enjoyable to play. Isn't that all we should ask for from a sports game?

Who cares about realism? Realism only makes games needlessly complicated. Many "real" games require you to have as much experience and knowledge as a coach in order to enjoy the gameplay. What fun is there in that?

  • first delete this video. you wasting much of ones tym whose is searching for games not toys

  • @ks9885871228, punctuation is your best friend. Learn it so I can actually understand what you're complaining about.

  • I agree about Microsoft Golf. The the old saying 'keep it simple, stupid' really applies here. Back when early versions MS Golf was made for the old 486 computers, my brother and I played numerous competitions.

When other stuff came along, eg. Tiger Woods, it was hard to get anyone to play it with me, because it frustrated guests to develop enough skill to play a fun and competitive game.

MS Golf was relatively easy for guests to catch on to and want to play every time they visited.

  • It's really hard to make a list like this, but I think you pretty much nailed it. 5 stars.

  • @eehhkk12, why? I hope you don't think newer automatically means better. Many newer games have ridiculous learning curves with no pick-up-and-play interface, a huge disadvantage.

I don't even care when a game was released. Good, fun games transcend time, regardless of era.

  • maybe some new games you idiot

  • i fell asleep

  • NBA Jam is and always will be the best basketball game ever. I mostly agree with everything on this list. (I prefer Wii Sports and don't know about MS Golf)
