Suzuki Hayabusa & BMW S1000RR 1.2km race, 2 runs and the RR claimed both.
Hayabusa had Akrapovic Evo exhaust system, race air filter, Power Commander with Auto Tune, the RR is stock.

yeah flygator you can talk shit... but a lot depends on rider so maybe your friends don't know how to ride a bike..why don't you come here and i'll show you who's faster.I admit S1000RR is a bit faster than GSX-R 1000,but comparing s1000rr with busa is actually really funny!!...but busa is STILL the fastest street bike,so you can just suck it!

whether the bmw beats the busa o not...bmw will 4eva respect the busa.infact y'all NEED to respect the busa as it has been king for a long tym and truthfully it still is. Man the hayabusa is a legend and always will be coz pssht bmw would neva have never gone to the trouble of makin a bike like this if the busa hadnt paved the way for them.the hayabusa was really a wake up call for bmw,kawasakis and all thoz manufacturers coz as far as am concerned the hayabusa was and still is the benchmark

That's what happen when you get fat and lazy. The BMW drives in circles around the Dino-busa. Maybe the Busa-boys' thinking 'bout installin' a 2000 cc inline to compensate for lack of engineering?

@UltraBoySRB No, it's not just this video, the S1000RR is officially faster than the Busa. It has been proven in many tests, even by MCN. In 1/8 mile and 1/4 mile runs, as well as top speed on an airstrip. I have a feeling the busa would still have to have a higher top speed on a long, long run, but on every track or air strip tests have been done on so far, there hasn't been enough room for the busa to get a higher top speed.

wrong!....s1000rr would dominate it. i understant that one video like this is not convincing enough, but i have seen several others with the same result. and also, for the fact that i've been on a 2008 busa and noticed the speedometer only goes up to 180mph...WTF?? my zzr600 is almost as fast as that lol... and i've seen a stock s1000rr do 194 using a GPS to record the speed more accurately!

benchmark for going fast in a straight line maybe...but there's more to riding a bike than that. they're called turns and corners....something the hayabusa sucks and always sucked dick at. busas are overrated....as you can see in this video and many others, pretty much all the 1000cc bikes are overall better than a busa. i would even take a 600cc bike over a busa.

how was bmw threatened at all by the busa? what hypersport bike was bmw producing in 98? what sportbike was bmw producing at the time? the s1000rr was aimed at the literbike market not hypersport. you apparently don't get that. and costing about 2-3k more for all base models and having an additional 15-20hp is a pretty big deal. the optional features actually work and don't cost too much more. the fact that busa owners are threatened is a comical plus. what'd the ECTA 1k s1000 do
