(Part 1: Henri ter Hofte and Frank Bentley present the details of this open request for a series of tools to support Mobile UX Research).

Anyone out there know of existing tools for these, or want to help build something that works?

List of wish-list tools described:
* Better tool for seeing what's on user's mobile screen;

* Automated diary reminders, for diary study participants who haven't yet sent in a voicemail or SMS or email;

* Tool that lets you correlate logged events with data in other formats (like voicemail w/info, or esm data) & view them together;

* Easy transcription of interview that you can correlate back to the log data + everything that came in related to what they've mentioned;

* Auto-generate bulleted list (transcribing all content) from photo of a wall of organized/ analyzed stickies.

Context:
This discussion happened at the CHI 2009 Workshop: Mobile User Experience Research: Challenges, Methods & Tools (http://sites.google.com/site/chi09mobileworkshop/)
