My first attempt involved a 10 second lift off and I broke the tail, I bought a spare tail boom and stuck it in a cupboard for a month or so - I took it to a friend of mine who is into RC copters (assumig he would be better than I) - well the results speak for itself - luckily I bought two spare tail booms - I think I may need a dozen or least
And he is into helicopters? you need to hold it by the balance paddle bar, make sure the heli is balanced, looks like yours is too heavy on the back(move battery forward).
Hold the skids and slowly wind the helicopter up it should only pull up, if it pulls in any direction, adjust the trims.

You mean the part that holds the rear rotor off the ground? Sucks that they break so easily, and that the tail doesn't hold off the ground. I'm going to glue a paper clip in place of mine tomorrow.
