  • I argee its a tad pricey but if your a mobile dj and can afford one, maybe it worth purchasing one. Not only will you have a great sound and light show, your had a fantastic visual effect show too. People will pay for this as its modern and different, your mobile dj business will stand out from the rest. Not only can you play photos and videos, you can edit a short video promoting your mobile dj business for example, not only just handing business cards out. A great marketing tool as well!

  • You're onto something there. Some of us in certian markets I'm sure can justify the price tag

  • That mixer would be ridiculous for a wedding.

  • Oh it would be cool as HELL to use something like that even if it was just for posting pictures like Jay shows here.

  • Lovely piece of kit, but.......

...when I'm at a party, wedding etc. I want to dance, not look a video screens all night, or sit and wonder how its all done, or get into deep discussions on the technique of handling digital images to amaze the crowd. I just want to dance and for that all I need is music, sweet music (as the song goes).

This is top end kit for clubs, raves etc where this type of visual is part of the EXPECTED show, not a mobile.

    Just my thoughts.

  • got video mixing i think you forgot about mixing audio

  • Man i need this toy !!!

  • Just another comment. Me, I have 15,000+ dvd videos. If you purchase dvd subsriptions from Promo Only for 7 of 8 of the dvd services they offer it would be $2100 per year($300 each for a 12 issues). You could afford roughly 3 years of videos for what you pay for the Pioneer. It is a no brainer. I would rather have the videos.

  • Ive only just checked the spec out for this model, holy shit! Worth the cash. Think it would be funky in a turntablists set, listening to scratching and watching a video, be like taking acid!

  • I have a feeling that not many people can get thier heads around that concept.

What people need to start understanding is that Pro Audio items are specialty items. It's not mass produced in nearly the numbers as, say, a home DVD player or a home theater system.

Because of the limited production numbers, limited customer base, not to mention the fact that they need to build everything Heavy Duty for the road, the price isn't so outragous

  • If I imagine the cost of that mixer, the R&D they had to do for it, and the limited numbers they will sell, I don't think they're getting much money out of it.
