What about Sufis? Don't they consider themselves to Muslim? They have open depths of naturalistic and interpretive philosophy dealing with language, poetry, geometry, dance, trance, emotional nuance... I like your videos and encourage you to continue on but I'd warn of throwing out the baby with bathwater.

@teleomorph Sure, the Sufis have a lot of admirable practices, and yes, they are (self-identified) Muslims.

But I'm not particularly interested in what can be gained by believing a certain thing (in this case, a version of Islam). I'm interested only in whether it's a reflection of reality or not.

I also find it worth noting that pretty much every non-Sufi Muslim in the world would consider Sufis "not Muslim". Not that that's anything new for different sects or denominations within religions

One argument i've heard could be called the "argument from simplicity", that monotheism of islam beats the Holy Trinity or the Hindu pantheon of multiple gods.

But fewer gods is better? how about zero gods? heh

We should fight poverty, ignorance, develope economy and education. You are 200% right in what you say in your video , but fighting the religion is a useless thing to do. A hungry, poor, humiliated person living in a corrupt country, brain-washed day and night won't listen to your arguments. What esle do they have apart from their religion? What hope is there?

Stoning of people, arranged marriages, death threats etc etc happen in POOR IGNORANT societies, religion has nothing to do with it. Whether this religion is true or fault (if a 'true' religion exists). When Europe was undeveloped and ignorant Christians burned witches and Inquisition tortured people etc Today they don't do it. They are still christian... When muslims will have a normal life they won't have time and desire for the stupid things they do today. They wil still be muslims...

Over interpretation is like the cornerstone of Islam. The only ones calling a spade a spade when reading the Koran are the terrorists and those who support terrorism it seems.

Would you also believe in another god, agents of whom promised full justice? If you step back for a second and take a look at what you are saying I think you will find that your reason for believing is simply your preference for justice. What makes you think that your preferences are any indicator of how the world is? Would you believe anything that confirms your idea about iternal justice?

human way: usineg a wild camel reciting quran verses (natural melody)

inhuman way (called torture): using an untalented gone-wild wanna be fanatic Muezzin recitting Quran in the rythm of JIHAD-melody (warning: this way is very brutal, 50% of prisoners will loose mind control and even die)
