@stevendeluide today i try my idle up for the first time, but i crashed it, when i flip it to idle up i dont have any positive pitch (or almost nothing) so the reaction time is really slow,.. negative pitch yea, all you want (that's why i crashd) but positive nada :s can you maybe help me out..

so if my heli is not set up perfect, like 1 blade is 0 and other is at 6 or 8 what will happen when i try to fly upside down in idle up ? or even when i flick the switch ?? will it work but just not as good or will it not work and set up has to be 100 % ? the first day i got the heli the guy at the hobby store told me the switch was for 3d and ill almost never have to use it when i am learning.. but what he forgot to tell me was if i put it on the helicopter will demolish itself lol

i got my belt about 1 month ago,
set it all up and flew it, i'm getting quite good at hovering now,
so tried to flick ''THE'' swtich, and what a rush, :D i didnt even crash it, but once in 3d, my blade tracking really SUCKS
any ideas??

which way do you turn the pitch trim to stop the helicopter dropping
Hey steven could you please tell me why my heli went full power?

Thats what idle up is, full power and you control you heli with pitch only.
So you engine will go full power and you will have positive / negative pitch, for loops and other. The idle up switch is also called 3d switch as for 3d flight.
I hope that explains it

I was doing first flight and on normal mode it didn't fly even at full power then i tryed idle up and bam. It shot straight up in the air and into a tree.(Lucky) Now i have replaced the parts and i will never touch idle up again, seriously!

Hi, I am ideling up now in the air, so no matter where he goes ...up or down, it gives time to react. If you have done a good setup it should be pretty ok no matter where you idle up.
I ony fly idle up now, it makes the heli much more responsive and more fun.
Also as I just moved and live on the beach now, I have plenty of space and can fly really nice eights, etc...take your time, once you are in full control without idle up, you can go idle up again. Try to do it in the air, in an open place

if you're using the stock tx. u can use the pitch trim knob - the knob on the upper right hand side of the tx. turn that nob to about 6 o clock and the heli wont drop when you flip the idle up switch.

Hi thx for the hint, I'll try to play with that switch as soon as I get it fixed as I crashe dit a few days later. I am waiting for parts (tail rotor bearings) for 4 months now.
So 3 months ago, bought me a carbon one but haven't had to many time to fly.
That one goes up when I switch, so I'll have to do the oposite. Thx again for the hint
