  • I just have to say, got my Demon Drive double pedal today and found it extremely hard to dial the exact same settings when messing around on the 2 boards. The right foot may retain it's movement longer than the left (vise versa), or I can't get the spring tension to give enough to play smooth. I'll have to play around.

  • @ThomasMetal75 I must say that I had to be lucky with my Demons. I took them out the box, put the springs the same tension by counting the threads. Almost all the way tight. Put the beater angle to 5 1/2 inches from the batter head. Then 10 minutes later I made this video.

I don't understand what all the issues are. Later I fine tuned them by raising the foot board angles to match the angle of my hi hat pedal. Thats it. I'm at 290 with singles and 304 with doubles.

  • Billy, let me start by saying how amazing you are. I wish i was half as good as you are. I wish you lived in my town so I could take drum lessons from you. Anyways i was wondering if you still use any of your old drum pedals or has the Eliminator Demon Drive replaced them all forever...... or at least until the next best thing comes along? Oh and don't listen to those haters. Id like to see them go through what you did and see if they are still playing drums as awesome as you are.

  • @Yeseniaschick Thanks for the nice words. I use the double Demons as my main pedals plus the single as a left foot aux pedal on a Roland trigger or second bass drum with I play with GodFire. When I play jazz I just use the single Demon. When I play my own material in my studio kit I use double Demons, 2 sets of regular double Eliminators, a single Demon and a single Eliminator.

  • You should consider the Iron Cobra 'gold edition' those were the most beautiful pedals ever. Maybe not the best but demon drives werent made back then. so you can't compare it when comes to performance. But beauty of an pedal. haha I know the Iron Cobra's annivarsary are the best.

  • @drumstheo Don't remember seeing those. I did get a chance to play the Crome ones.

  • @brainfable16 Thanks for your comment. I checked out all of your videos. Your amazing! Do you give lessons? I'd love to hook up with you so that you can get me up to your level of playing. Can you give me some pointers on how to not be so horribe? Thanks

  • @gergenfonchen Dont worry. If I had a quarter for ever duche bag comment that I get, I could buy 10 Masters Premium kits! Always consider the source. If you watch brainfable16's amazing video footage, it says it all.

  • @TwigPunter I dont know much about it, but you can buy a conversion kit to make a single pedal, to a double

  • I'm sure you've gotten this question a lot but I can't find the answer online. I have a single pedal already. If I want to make it a double, can I just buy another single with the z link?

  • @halabinono I didn't know they were discontinued. Anyway I have a chain drive dfp 9500c. It is a chain drive. I have had many pedals. This is NOT a top end pedal but I think it is awsome. I am not really a yamaha guy but after trying there pedals I was amazed at how you really do not hear much about them. I think they are underrated. The 9500d is a direct drive. All I know is I am not a fan of any of the pearl pedals I've tried. The DD is way overpriced.

  • @jordanjcm

Ive tried demon drives and for me Iron Cobras are the best feel. And I cant find flying dragons anywhere, I think they are discontinued!

  • @halabinono Before you buy try Yamaha pedals. They make a couple direct drives. One is called "flying dragon". It is the MOST underated pedal. I never hear people talking about it. Just try it if you can find one. I have tried almost every pedal. I also owned this Demon Drive. I am willing to bet you will be super suprised. If not it can not hurt trying. LOL. I was so amazed at the smoothness the power and just the overall feel.

  • I finally sold this piece of crap pedal. I went back to my Yamaha's. Do NOT fall for all the hype of this pedal. I mean "ninja" bearings. LOL. Yeah like other bearings are slowing you down. LOL. The direct links make click noises. wiggle it for yourself. The top nut for the spring tensioner is plastic? It broke in half. junk! The thing looked 10 years old after a few months. I am NOT hard on my pedals. I went back to my yamaha. This DD needs work and a price drop.

  • Billy, you're fucking amazing.

  • @halabinono these

  • @billycanty hey billy what heads are using on everything? getting new ones soon need edvice

  • I love mine EXCEPT the direct drive link bearing at the top ( the one you swith for a light or heavy feel) of the left pedal makes a clicking noise. No it is NOT loose. I have tried everthing. I even swithed it to the right pedal and it made the noise on that side. So frusterating. You can even feel "slight" play in it . I am choked because this pedal is so expensive. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
