"India's fastest Duronto " overtakes :-Sealdah Duronto Express 130 kmph blast

On a recent railfanning in between Bardhaman-Durgapur(BWN-DGR) stretch I had the priviledge of witnessing a passby of INDIA'S SECOND FASTEST TRAIN-2260NDLS-SDAH Duronto Express.We were returning back to Howrah via Barddhaman from Paraj station on a ASN-BWN MEMU.After leaving Khana Jn Duronto makes a sudden appearence at a distant curve and within seconds crossed us as seen.Loco in charge is GZB WAP7#30258

durontos never hit 130 dude.. although it is capable to do 160.. still its restricted to 120kmph MPS

@seba81376 -well dear hitting 130 mark doesnt mean the train maintains that mark for quite sometime- it is only for that particular moment which is only a few seconds that the train touches that point-a peek at simran.in will help u understand where and when these trains do or can attain the 130 mark.And yes the Sealdah Duronto does sometime attain the mark because hadnt it been so it would be impossible for it to cover the distance in just 35 minutes after Rajdhani's arrival.

@seba81376 Well durontos do hit the 130 mark many a times..to maintain that no slack schedule and maintaining an average onf 90+kmph there has to be specific stretches of 130Kmph mark for picking up the time it may have lost..Of we consider the running time between NDLS-DKAE Sdah Duronto Has to maintain around 110 kmph (including technical halts at DHN(5mins), MGS(5mins) ,CNB (8mins) hope I got it correct..

So to maintain that 130 is just a necesiity :)
