Heh, heh, heh,.... They taught me how to LIE with a straight face... Taught me how to handle being isolated, shunned, and excluded from group activities... Taught me to distrust ANYONE who asks for 'complete' loyalty... Taught me how to use 'biblical beliefs' to cover a lack of ambition.... Taught me how to act arrogant and sanctimonious... Taught me how to spot a hypocrite... ("BullShit meter" - good one!) Gave me A LOT of good plot ideas about power-hungry wackos abusing people...

There's nothing good about this or any other control cult. Nothing.

Nothing against you, smokey. You know I love you. I'm just doing a few hundred things at once, and my mind's going warp 9.

You are apparantly aware of how thinking on things which are of a positive nature, is the only way to avoid becoming a cranky and ultimately unhappy person with life, and ones self.

I'm not the Messiah! I'm not the Messiah!

I agree becoming an Exjw improves your ability to smell BS! GOOD VID
sorry, I couldn't watch the whole vid.
Good things about being raised a JW... Well, being a JW they told you always question question question everything, every religion (except theirs of course) so I got that freethink kinda thing drummed into me. Also forced me to be independent minded since I didn't have many friends cuz they were all worldly. I do well by myself and I only depend on myself.
Beyond that...

Jehovah's Witnesses believe in global governance in a new theocratic order, true, and I always found that parallel interesting.
I gained a lot from being brought up as a Jehovah's Witness. I watched my associations carefully, I was honest almost to a fault, and I knew I had to love and forgive people. There was no room for bias, and that was very beneficial to me. I retain these qualities now and always will.

I am waaay too honest sometimes. I have always been horrible at lying. Funny thing is, being raised as a JW, I was told to lie about many things on many occasions. Just to keep up appearances.
