  • You can get an open air intake, which will allow you to hear your stock BPV. It will sound closer to this, but you cannot run a BOV on your car because the car takes into account all the air that is brought into the engine.

  • can i run a bov on my 03 9-3 2.0t? thanks alot i really wanna know

  • Nope, unfortunately not. You can only run BOVs on all 1998 and older cars, along with the 1999 9-3 (only the s model). You can get an intake which will allow you to hear the stock BPV, it wont be quite as loud as a proper BOV

  • you might have done something to the maf sensor... all t-7 and t-8 cars are so much more sensitive than the t-5 cars (mine) so i have alot more flexibility and less electronics which in this day and age is hard to come by...

  • hey man sounds good. heres my question, i have a 1996 900 se turbo, can i run this valve on mine with out screwing up anything? i had an HKS SSQV on my old toyota but it wqas an 87. i just dont wanna throw a CHeck engine light.

  • @1234chris900se

Saab ng900 was built on a gm europe platform (opel vectra) last "true" saab would be the 9000

  • when i rev mine i cant hear the turbo what is the problom

  • if u get a intake plug (make one buy one mod one) and if u get a small breather filter and a fitting u can make a BOV out of the stock Bosch BOV. if u take ur by pass tube and take the metal fitting out on the intake side and plug it with something of equal size or bigger and silicone it in there ur good put it in and away u go. u can do it as long as ur engine has the complete rubber intake pipe not the steel one with the mass air flow sensor.

  • You can put and semi atmosferic BOV on a trionic 7 AKA lpt saab!

That would be something a BOV like the Forge SplitR.

Specially made for Low Pressure Turbo's like the one's on de saabs and the 1.8 VW.

This type of BOV blows of 30% (adjustable untill engine magament light starts burning) and redirects 70% air for the airflow to measure.

But mounting a open air , opti-flow filter on your saab, you dont need a BOV!!!

You'll hear the turbo spool, whistle and blow like crazy!

  • All Saabs (exept 9-7X and 9-3 Convertible) are still being manufactured in Trollhättan in Sweden, and has always been manufactured in Sweden. Some parts come from GM, but they are still assembled in Sweden.

  • I dont think so, I think that the ng900 was the last model of true saabs to be produced, since it was designed and produced solely by saab in Trollhatten. Also, all the mechanics (engine, tranny, chassis, and electronics) are all saab specific, not a cross brand mix from GM. This is opinionated as far as when the last true saab was made, so this is my perspective.

  • awe mannn.. aight.. thanks for the info bro. keep her clean : )
