Lords and Ladies - What Not to Eat - Arum maculatum

Justin Telford of NaturalBushcraft shows us what NOT to eat; Lords and Ladies was thought of as being edible a time ago, it's roots needed to be processed before you could eat them, however other parts of the plant are poisonous and the processing of the root probably consumes more energy than you would get from it.

yeah you can eat.

my mom makes good soup with this, but make sure you have to cook it very well (long process)

and i heard that lords and ladies (soup version) very good for cancer cure.

lords and ladies does have some medicinal value but without the advice or under the instruction of a master herbalist its well left alone, the flowers it produces in summer time absolutely stink of ,well lets just say its a horrible smell.snakes love the berries
